The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie with Browned Butter

One stick unsalted butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar

2 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 semisweet chocolate (I like the larger chunks)

Pinch of flaky salt on top of each cookie

First brown your butter and preheat the oven to 375.

When the butter is foamy and browned remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

In bowl combine flour, baking powder and soda and salt. In another bowl crack your eggs and mix with the sugars and vanilla. Then add a little of the butter to temper the mixture so you don’t cook your eggs. Then stir in the butter and mix thoroughly. Then whisk in chips and dry ingredients at once. Large, flat scoops on parchment paper for a big beautiful cookie. Or smaller if you like a smaller, flat cookie. Or make a scoop but don’t push down. Dealers choice. BUT make sure you do a pinch of flaky salt on top of each before baking. nd cook for 8-10 mins.
